This is my test github pages repo using a custom domain!
This page includes links, fancy markdown, and even regular words!
I can even embed images!

This page is using the hacker theme
Here’s the resources I used:
- Creating the repo: Creating a GitHub Pages Site
- Custom domains (I used a subdomain, not www/apex): Configuring a Custom Domain for your GitHub Pages Site
- Themes: Adding a Theme to your GitHub Pages Site Using Jekyll
Notably the DNS changes took quite some time to kick in. I started this “yesterday” (relative, I know) and the DNS checker on the pages site didn’t acknowledge the changes were correct until “today”. But it works out in the end!
Every page update can take some time (I think GitHub says 15-30 minutes) for their systems to build the new site and push it to their servers, but it’s free and relatively easy to do!
